This book was pretty all right It s actually 3 1 2 stars, but when one has to make a choice between three or four, I am going to err on the conservative side It gave me a brief history of the Roman culture and covered all of the basic points pretty well Maybe it s just nonfiction in general that underwhelms me, but overall, a pretty decent read. None Outstanding This is of an introduction book, and very basic at that There are many others that I would recommend before this one. The book feels a little dated, but the content is solid and well organized You can t help but pick up a lot of the contextual details of everyday life in Rome.
