Sara remains as clever as always in the second book of the series, even if I don t exactly agree with her taste in friends sometimes It was fast paced just like I wanted it to be and while the book is a little dated, being from the 90s it s still an enjoyable, encouraging read. Popular E Book, Missing Hear No Evil , No 2 Author Kate Chester This Is Very Good And Becomes The Main Topic To Read, The Readers Are Very Takjup And Always Take Inspiration From The Contents Of The Book Missing Hear No Evil , No 2 , Essay By Kate Chester Is Now On Our Website And You Can Download It By Register What Are You Waiting For Please Read And Make A Refission For You An excellent book that shows that just because you have a disability , it doesn t mean you can t stop your dreams from coming true A short, quick read that has suspense, drama, and action, all rolled into one. 3.5 stars Sara Howell Mysteries Hear No Evil series by Kate Chester1 Death in the afternoon2 Missing3 A time of fear4 Dead and buried5 Sudden death6 Playing with FireThis is a great series put out by scholastic that I got via inter library loan since my local library doesn t own it The books are similar to the Nancy Drew Series but with the added twist that the main character is post lingually deaf The mystery and action are great for a teen or tween but somewhat slowed down by the description of ASL The tediousness of trying to read the details of the signs as they are used may give the reader a better understanding of the deaf teen s frustration when she struggles to communicate with those that hear by reading their lips Many teens are interested in learning ASL and this gives a good introduction She is a strong independent character dealing with many issues any teen might face death of a family member, fights with her boyfriend, etc in addition to the frustration of the ESL language barrier that kids who speak two languages can relate to.The books are a bit dated because the increased use of computers and cell phones over the last 15 years has expanded the ways that the deaf and the hearing can communicate I don t think that makes the mysteries any less interesting though. Sara is so annoying, and too much of a busybody to be believed I also don t get why the author continues to make comments like this Keesha s being black had never put a strain on her friendship with Sara What s the point These books thus far aren t about race in the slightest way Why make a point of Keesha s blackness not straining the friendship Why keep saying that Keesha is black Sara has a friend named Liz it s not being beaten into the ground that Liz is white.
